Self promotion is hard! The goal was to find a simple way to identify myself without competing with my clients' work in my portfolio. I sign budgets, notes and proofs with a trademark loopy "Mel" to signify that I have put my eyes on it and approve. I translated what is already a recognizable stamp of approval into a simple loop treatment and now I finally have an identity that I'm happy with!
